Wasted Delivery & Collection Charges for the US Market

To improve operational efficiency and reduce administrative burdens from wasted deliveries, the following charges will be implemented starting June 2024. These charges apply to specific scenarios as outlined below.

Artisan Furniture will continue to offer free delivery within the Continental United States, regardless of order value or size.

The first delivery attempt is free. However, any subsequent delivery attempts or changes to the order, such as re-delivery, address changes, or contact detail updates, will incur a fee.

These charges will be added to your account since courier companies bill us for any changes.

The courier will hold the product at the depot for three days until the charges are paid. If the charges are not paid within this period, the product will be returned to our storage unit, resulting in additional charges.

Below are the charges and service levels, with applicable sales tax added:

  • Unsuccessful deliveries due to incorrect ZIP code
  • Unsuccessful deliveries due to unavailability (despite prior notification)

 

Charges are as follows:

  • Change of delivery address after order processing – $40.00
  • Rescheduling fees – $40.00
  • Return to supplier – $60.00
  • Wasted delivery – $40.00
  • Wasted delivery for Canada & Mexico shipments – *based on actual costs
  • Wasted collection – $40.00
  • Wasted collection for Canada & Mexico shipments – *based on actual costs

 

All charges must be paid BEFORE rescheduling the delivery.

 

PLEASE ENSURE YOU INCLUDE THE ORDER NUMBER FOR WHICH THE WASTED DELIVERY & COLLECTION CHARGE IS BEING PAID.

 

Detailed Charges Explanation:

 

Change of Delivery Address after Order Processing – $40.00

If you request a change of delivery address after the order has been processed or is at the local depot, a change of delivery address fee will apply. If you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated minus the change of delivery address charges.

 

Change of Delivery Date after Order Processing – $40.00

If you request a change of delivery date after the order has been processed or when it’s at the local depot, a change of delivery date fee will apply. If you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated minus the change of delivery date fee.

 

Return to Supplier – $60.00

If your order has gone out for delivery and is not accepted, or if the item has been at the depot for longer than five days with no communication, a return to supplier fee will apply. If you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated minus the return to supplier fee.

 

Wasted Delivery – $40.00

If your customer is not available, if delivery has been attempted twice without success, or if there is a cancellation of a live order after it has been processed/labeled, a wasted delivery fee will apply. If you cancel the order, a refund will be initiated minus the wasted delivery fee.

 

*Wasted Delivery for orders shipped to Canada & Mexico– based on actual costs

If the customer is not available or refuses delivery, or if a live order is canceled after being processed/labeled, an international wasted delivery fee will apply. A refund will be issued minus the wasted delivery fee, or a recovery notice will be sent for any shortfall if the fee exceeds the shipment value. The fee, including duties and taxes, is collected based on actual costs and varies depending on the product type and destination country.

 

Wasted Collection – $40.00

If your customer is unavailable to facilitate collection or refuses to hand over the product, a wasted collection fee will apply.
